“National Relief Charities Charity Ranks in the 1% of Top-Rated Nonprofits”

National Relief Charities, a Native American serving charity, earned the Top-Rated Award from Great Nonprofits, a distinction that only 1% of charities receive.

December 21, 2012, Sherman, TX / Phoenix, AZ / Rapid City, SD / Elkwood, VA (PRWEB) — It is with great pleasure that National Relief Charities (NRC) joins the ranks as a recipient of the 2012 Top-Rated Award from Great Nonprofits. As a nonprofit serving Native Americans, NRC is particularly thankful for the recognition because only 1% of philanthropic support goes to Native American causes.

The award came on December 19 with this note from Great Nonprofits staff: “We are especially thrilled to recognize the great work of your organization, given that less than 1% of eligible nonprofits have received this distinction.”

NRC made the Top-Rated list because of many positive reviews about our work from donors and partners. One supporter said: “I have another year under my belt with this organization, and I must say, they continue to amaze me. National Relief Charities is truly about people, and that is what sets them apart. I will continue to help NRC as long as I can, and I feel good about doing so. As a transportation provider for numerous different companies, none are so fulfilling as knowing that we are delivering goods to help save lives, and deliver hope. Thank you NRC for letting me be involved.”

Working with the people and programs on isolated American Indian reservations with high rates of poverty is why NRC exists. They are the largest Native American serving charity that is 100% dedicated to this. National Relief Charities invites all who are interested to join their cause in remembering these Native Americans the most underserved group of people in the United States.

**National Relief Charities serves reservations in the northern Plains and Southwest, with the aim of building strong, self-sufficient American Indian communities. NRC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with offices throughout the US. For more information about National Relief Charities, visit www.nativepartnership.org.
